PTA Take-Home Books
These books will be coming home regularly. This program is wonderful because it gets a book on your child's current reading level in their hands for homework daily. After your child reads the book to you, please sign the paper in the bag and return the book to school. Parent volunteers come in daily to exchange the books. Books can not be exchanged unless the paper is signed. If a book is lost, you must pay $10 to replace it before a new book can be sent home.
Raz-Kids.com
Home reading material, on your child's individual level, is accessible on Raz-Kids.com. Students can read these books for home reading minutes as long as they are actually reading and not just listening or playing.

Birthdays
Parents are invited to come in and read a favorite story for a child's birthday. I will send a note home a week prior to your child's birthday. Please select a time from the list that you would like to come or let me know if you need to reschedule. Students may bring treats for the class if they wish as long as there are treats for everyone. District policies require that the treats must be store bought. We have 25 students in our class.
*Please do not send party invitations to school unless the whole class is invited.
Library Books
Our library day is on Wednesday. Students will keep their library books at school and use for daily reading in the classroom. Parents do not need to worry about keeping track of these books as they do not come home.
